The University of Virginia has designated Neuroscience as a major strategic focus, including the establishment of the UVA Brain Institute, and initiating strategic and coordinated hiring of faculty across the University in this area. As a part of this initiative, the University of Virginia School of Medicine Department of Neuroscience is seeking candidates for a tenure-eligible Associate/Full Professor position.
Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, or equivalent and a history of exceptional publications and extramural funding in neuroscience. Incumbents will be expected to run an extramurally funded research laboratory in which post docs, graduate, and undergraduate students will play major roles. The candidate will also be and is expected to participate in the educational and service missions of the School of Medicine and the UVA Brain Institute.
