The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the UNIVERSITY OF SAN DIEGO (http://www.sandiego.edu/cas/chemistry), a Roman Catholic university, seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in chemistry to begin in Fall 2017. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education; will contribute to chemistry and biochemistry curriculum development; will teach undergraduate level lecture and laboratory courses and specialized courses in the field of expertise; and is expected to establish a vigorous externally funded undergraduate research program. We encourage applicants with specializations in chemical biology, bioanalytical chemistry, materials, or computational chemistry and whose work resonates with our student-centered approach to teaching and a collaborative approach to productive undergraduate research. Candidates with interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research are encouraged to apply.
