Assistant Professor of Biology
The College of St. Scholastica is seeking a faculty member to teach human anatomy and physiology in undergraduate biology, biochemistry, and pre-health science programs. Additional responsibilities may involve teaching undergraduate biology courses for majors and selected courses in the undergraduate sequence of human anatomy/physiology and other biology courses. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position to begin Fall Semester 2015.
The successful candidate will participate in the work of The College through faculty committees, governance and other opportunities, advance a scholarship agenda and contribute to and participate in fostering a culture of inclusion in support of College diversity goals.
Applicants must have a doctorate in biology or a related field with a strong background in human anatomy and/or physiology. Evidence of cultural competence and demonstrated success working with diverse populations is required. Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and multicultural competency is a must. Preferred qualifications include college teaching experience,knowledge of health professions and familiarity with rules and protocol for cadaver labs.
