  Assistant Professor of Water-Energy Efficiency in Food Science and Technology

  University of California, Davis

  Title: Assistant Professor Water-Energy Efficiency in Food Science and Technology with teaching, research and professional and university service responsibilities. The appointment is in the Department of Food Science and Technology and will have an affiliation with the Center for Water-Energy Efficiency. The position is for a 50% academic year -9-month- tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor and 50% academic year 9-month Assistant Professor in residence with 50% non General funds.

  Qualifications: The applicant will have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in food science, engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science and policy, or closely related field, and the ability and interest to develop an internationally recognized research program in water-energy efficiency. Selection will be based in part on a record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals, and the ability and/or potential to obtain extramural funding. The specific research program will depend upon the expertise and interests of the candidate. A strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is expected.
