A two-year postdoctoral position is open in the Division of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Johns Hopkins University. Candidate will be involved in pre-clinical small animal radiation research project, in particular, the development and application of the integrated bioluminescence and fluorescence tomography/CBCT system as well as the 4D CBCT and its application for pulmonary imaging. The research work will include conducting small animal experiments, continue development of the optical tomography system and reconstruction algorithms, under the supervision of the research team of Drs. John Wong, Kai Ding, and Ken Wang. Candidates with strong physics, biomedical, or engineer background are preferable.
The project has strong analogy to human radiation medicine in terms of treatment planning, radiation dosimetry and image guidance. In addition, the candidate will also have an opportunity to receive clinical training and further perform clinical task under supervision of experienced medical physicists. The experience will prepare the candidate in pursuit of more formal clinical training.
