The Sanford Project has Postdoctoral Positions available to study human beta cell biology in small animal models at Sanford Research/University of South Dakota. A Ph.D. or M.D. degree with background in cellular and molecular biology is required. Experience in cell culture, gene and microRNA expression analysis such as real-time PCR and gene microarray, protein assays such as western blotting, confocal microscopy, islet transplantation are highly desirable.
The Sanford Project is an emerging translational research center focused on treating type 1 diabetes. The positions are located at the new Sanford Research Center in Sioux Falls, SD. An established collaboration with the Sanford-Burnham Institute for Medical Research in La Jolla, CA, provides for an integrated, world class, academic research environment.
